Day 1
Arrival into Nairobi where your Safari Spots tour manager will welcome and escort you to your hotel. A short safari briefing at your hotel, before embarking on your sightseeing tour. Your first stop will be Daphne Sheldrick’s Wildlife Trust, where you get to play with the orphaned baby elephants and rhinos. Continue to Giraffe Center, where you have the opportunity to feed the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Return to your hotel this afternoon with the rest of the day at leisure.
NAIROBI SERENA HOTEL
Day 2
Breakfast and morning departure for the Amboseli Game Reserve. Your drive takes you across the Athi plains and through Namanga, before entering Amboseli. Arrive at Amboseli Serena Lodge, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is designed in the shape of Masai manyattas. Lunch followed by an afternoon game viewing drive in Amboseli. The melted snows of Kilimanjaro form an extensive marsh area, home to hippo and a large variety of birds.

Day 3
The cool morning hours make Amboseli ideal for early morning game viewing. Cheetah and lion are most active at this hour. The marsh areas are feeding grounds for the largest population of elephant in Kenya, while buffalo and hippo wallow in the swamps. The backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro makes for spectacular photography at both sunrise and sunset. The peak of the mountain is usually visible in the early morning and late afternoon hours.

Day 4
Breakfast and morning departure for Sweetwaters Tented Camp, situated between the foothills of the Aberdare mountains and Mount Kenya. Your camp is located in Ol Pejeta, a private 90,000 acre wildlife reserve in luxurious tents with en suite bathrooms, facing Mount Kenya and overlooking a floodlit waterhole. Afternoon game viewing drive, including a visit to Dr. Jane Goodall’s Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one in Kenya. The facility was initially established to receive and provide life-long refuge to orphaned and abused chimpanzees from west and central Africa. Visit Baraka, a tame orphaned black rhino. Here you will have the opportunity to get your picture taken with Baraka.

Day 5
Depart after breakfast for Samburu Game Reserve, with a brief stop in Nanyuki to experience the Coriolis effect demonstration. Enter the reserve and commence game viewing on your way to the lodge. Arrive at Samburu Lodge for lunch, with the afternoon at leisure. Late afternoon game viewing drive. Samburu’s attraction lies in the beauty of the landscape and the concentration of wildlife, including several species not found outside this region; the gerenuk, beisa oryx and reticulated giraffe.

Day 6
Enjoy a full day in Samburu with early morning and late afternoon game viewing drives. This semi-arid landscape has the Uaso Nyiro River as its only source of water. Most of the animals congregate at the river during the heat of the day. Samburu is the best place for a leopard sighting. The fallen doum palm trees provide them with the ideal perch. The Samburu people are indigenous to this area. They resemble the Masai in native dress and decorative jewelry.

Day 7
Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara. Your driver/guide will meet you on arrival and transfer you to the Mara Serena Lodge. Lunch followed by a late afternoon game viewing drive. The Masai Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti, and is Kenya’s most popular wildlife reserve. This landscape of gentle hills and majestic acacia woodlands is ideal for Africa’s predators. This is one of the places in Africa where you can see great animal herds roaming the plains in vast numbers. Millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate through here annually in one of the greatest wildlife shows on earth.

Day 8+9
Enjoy two days of game viewing, where you will see lots of lion. The Mara has the largest population of lions in Kenya, including the majestic black mane lion. The Mara River is home to hippo and some of the world’s largest crocodile. There are large herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, impala and hartebeest. The cool morning hours bring out the cheetah, in search of prey. Return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy the day by the swimming pool. Another late afternoon game viewing drive in the Masai Mara.

Day 10
Final early morning game drive, followed by a scenic hippo pools breakfast by the river. Your breakfast starts with a glass of sparkling wine, as your Masai hosts, escort you to the dining area. A full breakfast spread is laid out on the river banks, including a chef who will cook your breakfast to order. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. Your Safari Spots tour manager will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel where dayrooms are provided. Farewell dinner this evening at the Carnivore restaurant, where every type of meat imaginable including a selection of exotic meat is roasted over charcoal and carved at your table. Delicious side dishes and an exceptional array of sauces complement this feast that also includes soup, a selection of desserts and Kenyan coffee. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
